Picture retakes are tomorrow. Please bring unwanted photo packet in order to have retakes. Homework is Mon 16 and problem solving "Traveling".
I will be gone for the rest of the week. My father passed away and I will be in Denver with my family.

Homework

Students need to finish their letter from an explorer, reading questions from the small books and the worksheet, "It's not my Fault". Additional homework includes: Thurs. 14 and a problem solving worksheet, "Off and Running".

Homework/Reminders

Homework tonight is: Mon and Tues 14. Also, students are to have the rough draft letter from an explorer completed so the final copy can be completed tomorrow in class.
Reading logs need to be kept up, remember every night 30 minutes of reading is required!
On Friday, explorer groups will present their lessons to the class. They have worked well together and have produced interesting and colorful posters.
In English we are working on the multiple uses of a thesaurus. In reading we are finishing In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson. For math we are beginning work on fractions and decimals.
Please remember to send in Campbell's soup!
Next week is Thanksgiving Week, so we only have school Mon. - Wed.

Spelling test tomorrow. Library books need to be brought to class tomorrow. Homework is Thurs. 13 and to be sure to finish Chapter 9 in The Year of the Boar....
No school on Monday.

Homework tonight is Wed 15 and "Pizza, Please" problem solving. Finish science and spelling list. New book checked out today, realistic historical fiction. Book report is due Dec. 14th. Read 30 minutes!

November 5

Today students took home a new reading log. They are to keep track of their reading times/books on the log. This log is counted as points on their reading grade. If there is no log turned in, a zero goes in the grade book. PLEASE have 30 minutes reading time set aside everyday!

I am beginning to list good website links for our state reports, check these out and utilize them. Students are encouraged to research different sites to help in their reports.

In social studies students are researching an explorer and will work in groups of 5 to design a lesson poster for a presentation to the class.

Today homework is Mon.13, writing sentences worksheet and reading. Also, any work not completed today in class. The daily geography paper is due Thursday.

Please send in cans of Campbell's Soup to support the food bank and to collect the UPC barcodes (labels for education).
