Tuesday

Book report paper went home yesterday and is due Friday. Daily Geography is due tomorrow as is Thursday 17.
Toys for Tots collection is running through Friday. Hope you will be able to contribute a toy.
The class is in need of dry erase markers. Please see if you can send some in, we go through them quickly! Thank you!

December 7 Pearl Harbor Day

The book report assignment was not handed out today. It will go home on Monday. I have asked the students to bring in newspaper ads from the Sunday paper for a math activity.
The PTO and student council are having a toy drive for Toys for Tots. Please try to send in a toy.

Wednesday

After my absence of five days, I am making some revisions in the book report. It is still due on Friday, December 14th, however it will not contain a variety of parts, as I had previously planned. The students will receive the assignment this Friday.
Tonight's homework is Thurs. 16 and the Daily Geography will be due Friday. Remember to set that 30 minutes aside for reading and filling out the reading log!

Picture retakes are tomorrow. Please bring unwanted photo packet in order to have retakes. Homework is Mon 16 and problem solving "Traveling".
I will be gone for the rest of the week. My father passed away and I will be in Denver with my family.

Happy Thanksgiving

Homework

Students need to finish their letter from an explorer, reading questions from the small books and the worksheet, "It's not my Fault". Additional homework includes: Thurs. 14 and a problem solving worksheet, "Off and Running".

Homework/Reminders

Homework tonight is: Mon and Tues 14. Also, students are to have the rough draft letter from an explorer completed so the final copy can be completed tomorrow in class.
Reading logs need to be kept up, remember every night 30 minutes of reading is required!
On Friday, explorer groups will present their lessons to the class. They have worked well together and have produced interesting and colorful posters.
In English we are working on the multiple uses of a thesaurus. In reading we are finishing In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson. For math we are beginning work on fractions and decimals.
Please remember to send in Campbell's soup!
Next week is Thanksgiving Week, so we only have school Mon. - Wed.
